The Warrior League is a tee-Ball league designed for children with special needs, grades 1-6. Adaptive equipment and modified rules will allow for a fun experience for all. Participation in the league is free of charge and all players will receive a Team hat and Jersey to keep. All warrior League activities will take place at NMSU Baseball Presley Askew Field. The field and Stands are ADA complaint to allow for participation for all ability levels. We will be accepting 80 participants. Applications must be submitted by Aug 20 Please schedule for more deadlines and important dates. Warrior League Teams will be coached and assisted by individuals with training and certification in working with people of all abilities. We do ask that we have one parent coach from each team to handle communication between the team and the league. NMSU Baseball Players will be on the field during games to assist players during their games. This is going to be an amazing experience for all involved!
At least one parent/guardian/caretaker must accompany the child for all activities.
Yelling or any negative comments will not be allowed by participants or spectators.
All players will bat. The inning is over once all team has batted. We have special adaptive equipment to ensure that all ability levels can bat.
There are no outs
Games will be 1:15 in length or 3 innings
Soft balls, lite bats and adaptive tee stands will be utilized and provided
Players will be given assistance as needed. Players are welcome to have their caregivers
assist them.
Parents are required to alert league of any issues or special requirements their player
requires.
Players provide their own glove. All other equipment will be provided by League.
